Baidu’s ERNIE X1.1 is finally here. It is a reasoning model that has fewer hallucinations with improved instruction following. As the company explains, this model is up to 34.8% more accurate over the previous model. It performs on par with GPT-5 and Gemini 2.5 Pro. This model is built upon ERNIE 4.5. It is available on ERNIE Bot, Wenxiaoyan app and our MaaS platform Qianfan (via API). You can already try it here.

This model can identify and analyze image content with accuracy. It is also a pretty decent coder.
