We have seen Qwen 3.8 and Kimi 3 generating a lot of buzz in the world of AI. There are already rumors that GPT 6 is already in the works. Turns out Claude Opus 5 is closer than expected. There have been claims that Opus 4.8 routes to Opus 5 already, though not many have been able to replicate it.
Anthropic in the past few months:
– released opus 4.8, basically 4.7 with fixed tokens
– released fable 5, then pulled it immediately
– released sonnet 5, somehow worse in benchmarks than sonnet 4.6
– brought fable 5 back with 50% of the usage
