Those of you who have been following the latest developments in the AI world have probably seen tons of AI YouTube channels that are giving high praise to Clawdbot. Many of them are also pushing Mac Minis. Those are great computers but you don’t need them to run Clawdbot. Deployment platforms like Railway & Render let you do just that. They are not only cheap but easy to use. To get started, you are going to need an account on those platforms and an API key. Claude is a great choice for this AI assistant but can be expensive. MiniMax gives you a much more affordable options. As this video shows, you can get started with a $10 MiniMax coding plan and a $5 Railway plan.
You don’t need a mac mini to escape the permanent underclass.

To install this on Railway, just click on Deploy on Railway template, add a Volume, and fill the variables. You are going to need a setup password to get started. Once you enable HTTP Proxy on port 8080, you can finish the installation process. On Railway, it is possible to attach a custom domain. As far as the models available to use, you have OpenAI, MiniMax, Anthropic, GLM, and various others to choose from.
