Here is a fun little robot that you can put together with 3D printable parts. The Coglet has 9 degrees of freedom, so it can move eyes, ears, mouth, and eyelids. You can program your own animations in Python. These robots are sold as pre-built kits but you can also get DIY kits that you can easily assemble. The Coglet uses a Grove Vision AI Module V2 for real-time face and object tracking.
The Coglet comes with Grumpy, Innocent, Evil, and other skins but you can 3D print your own. It has an ESP32-S3 processor with RP2040 secondary controller. It has 2 cameras, one of which is used for complex tasks like image recognition. According to the makers, the PCB design, code, and 3D printable STL files are free to use.
