GPT-5 is going to be announced later today by all accounts. As Sam Altman has suggested on X, it will be a longer event as there is a lot to cover. There have been various leaks about GPT-5 already though. For starters, it will come with a $200 a month plan that offers research grade intelligence.

There will be 3 tiers. Free users still get access to GPT5 but plus users will get advanced reasoning. Microsoft is also preparing for Copilot to get GPT-5.
