Anthropic and OpenAI keep releasing new exciting models. It was only a couple of days ago that we saw the Opus 5.5 model from Anthropic. OpneAI has responded with its own GPT‑6 Sol and Luna. What’s neat is GPT-6 Sol has an input and output price that is half of the previous version. GPT-6 Sol is a very capable model but cheaper than Astra, so you won’t break the bank as you iterate. As OpenAI explains, the cost per task for GPT-6 Astra (low) is 3.9x of GPT-6 Sol.
Luna is a lightweight model that is cost efficient. It comes in handy for smaller tasks. As OpenAI explains, prompt caching has been improved for GPT-6. You can find out more about it here.
